KaraDom has two monitors: the main one, in the program window, and the audience one, on a TV or second screen, with lyrics and video only and no controls.
The audience monitor
- Connect the TVConnect the second output (HDMI) and extend the Windows desktop (Windows key + P → «Extend»).
- Open the monitorPress KMN or Ctrl+K. The monitor goes full screen by itself on the screen you're not using. With more than two screens, KaraDom asks «Which screen should the audience monitor go to?».
- Use itIt shows 7 lines of lyrics, the yellow wait bar during instrumental breaks and synced videos. You can open it mid-song too: it aligns by itself.
- F11 or double-click: full screen. Esc leaves full screen (or hides the window). Ctrl+K closes it.
- If you unplug or change screens, the monitor fixes itself.
- Without a second screen it opens in a window 80% of the screen size.
The main monitor
It's the one you see: 5 lines of lyrics. Double-click to enlarge it full screen with 7 lines (Esc to go back).
Colors, fonts and background
- Settings → Monitor: for each of the two monitors choose Text color (the «not yet sung», white by default), Highlight color (the «already sung», red by default), Font and Size (0 = automatic, up to 120). Then «💾 Save Monitor Settings».
- Settings → Background: «Enable monitor background», then Image (Browse…) or Solid color. «Full screen» fills the monitor; off, the image stays whole and centered. The background stays behind the words and hides during videos.
Audience monitor offset PRO
If the TV shows the lyrics slightly late (it happens with some TVs), Tools → «Audience Monitor Offset…»: type the milliseconds (+ earlier, − later) and press OK. It applies to the audience monitor's lyrics and video.
✨ How the lyrics are colored
Words color syllable by syllable when they're sung, lines scroll smoothly and the progress bar appears during breaks: the singer always knows when to come back in.
